Olomouc does not have an airport, but is easily accessible by train from Prague. After arriving to Prague Airport, you can take the Airport Express bus directly to the Prague train station. From there, you can take a train to Olomouc with one of three major railway companies: České dráhy, RegioJet or Leo Express. Please note, that travelling on most trains requires a seat reservation, which can be made on the respective company’s website. For further directions, see the following paragraph.
From the main train station in Olomouc, take tram no. 2, 4 or 6. Get off at tram stop Náměstí Republiky (cca 5 minutes), cross the street and continue along the tram rails for about 30 metres. After that, take left turn to slightly rising Univerzitní street. You can use Pizza restaurant at the corner of the Univerzitní street as an orienting point. Continue along the street and enter first gate on the left.

Olomouc has become UNESCO member because of its second largest cultural heritage site in the Czech Republic. Besides its beauty, Olomouc is also a university city, in which time-honoured Palacký University resides. Thanks to its genius loci, thousands of students and cultural traditions, you will find a lot of beautiful spots, marked by pleasant coffee smell, good food or cultural spirit of the city.

ZOO Olomouc
The Accommodation and Dining Services offer accommodation of a hotel type during the whole year, including dining in one of the university campuses, to students and both local and foreign guests. Owners of the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) also get significant discounts. All accommodation objects are within reach of the city center using public transport.
Hotel Arigone is ranked in the *** hotel class offers 53 rooms (16 single bed, 18 double bed, 1 suite and 8 junior suites). An extra bed can be added nearly to all of the rooms. The rooms are furnished to an above-average standard.
Hotel Flora is a modern ten-story hotel with international clientele located in a peaceful city quarter. It lies within a close neighbourhood of city parks, in which famous floristic exhibition called Flora Olomouc takes place. It is about ten minutes by walking from the city center. It offers high-quality services, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, for which it is often visited by Czech celebrities. It was partially reconstructed in 2002, renovating the hotel rooms and constructing the 10th floor, which now has a multipurpose hall. Upper floors of the hotel also offer beatiful view of Olomouc and peaks of Beskydy and Jeseníky mountains.
This garni type hotel was founded in 1992. The name Gól refers to its location in the vicinity of Ander Stadium. Besides the total of 50 beds, the hotel also offers a lounge for 40 persons, an exchange office, safe deposit box or a bike deposit. It is located in a quiet city area, has its own parking lot, tennis courts and other sports facilities.
The Pension U Jakuba is located directly in the historic center of Olomouc. It is an ideal place not only for Czech and foreign tourists, visitor and admirers of historic landmarks, but also for weddings, business trips or other social events requiring quality short-term and accessible accommodation. The pension lies in ‚8. května‘ street, directly next to the Upper Square in a townsfolks‘ house with an uninterrupted history going back to the 15 century. In 2003-2005, the building was fully renovated. Today, it offers comfortable accommodation in luxuriously furnished studios/apartments, both single and double beds, for convenient prices. For more demanding clientele, the hotel offers an attic apartment. A private parking lot is available as well.
